2:00 - 4:45 pm

Main Street United Methodist Church, 1830 Main Street Columbia SC 29201

This CLE will focus on important legal topics that will help you answer basic legal questions, no matter your practice area. The main topics include expungements, child support and visitation, social security benefits, and Veterans benefits. Your cousin’s son who might need an expungement – this will help you. The neighbor who wants to know if he can file his own visitation action – this will help you. This 2.75 hour CLE will give you the basic tools you need to field the most common legal questions – and to know where to refer folks when you can’t help.

The Richland County Bar’s Public Service Committee oversees the HELP Clinic. The HELP Clinic is a legal advice clinic, from 8:30 am-10:00 am on the first and third Thursday of each month, designed to assist homeless individuals with their legal issues. This CLE includes a tour of the Transitions facility (2025 Main St., Columbia, SC 29201), where the HELP Clinic is held.
